I recently completed the intensive course as a birthday gift to myself, and wow—what an incredibly informative experience! The trainers were excellent, and the knowledge shared was truly valuable.
As a woman, I believe every woman should take part in an intensive course like this. It empowers you with practical skills and confidence to handle even the smallest tasks around your home independently, especially when help isn’t readily available.
Thank you Buster, Alice and the team for sharing your intensive knowledge.. i thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.. Hope to see you in the near future again

I did the cupboard building and installation course at Mercury school of woodworking March 2026. it was quite educational and I personally had learned a lot from both Alice and Buster. From measuring correctly to tips on how to do draw a straight line with your square etc. I am quite satisfied with my end Product what I have build.

I had the chance to be a student at the Foundation Course at Mercury School of Woodwork.
And I have to say, I am absolutely honored to have been lectured by Alice & Buster.
The amount of deep, decade-long build experience, knowledge and wisdom was simply astonishing to me. As a student you're not just being taught the ins and outs of woodwork, but also strong virtues and values of a craftsman.
I feel blessed and will surely be back for further courses!

I took part in the intensive course and cupboard making at Mercury. It’s a great place to make a start in woodwork or fine tune some of your skills. Buster is a character who shared his knowledge and many stories. His wife Alice is lovely and also helped us with the practical exercises. Highly recommended

I have just spent the most wonderful two weeks in Cape Town learning from Alice, Buster and Brenden. I arrived knowing next to nothing about working with wood and have come away from them inspired and excited, with more than enough confidence to begin my own carpentry and cabinet projects. Besides that they took such great care of me. Thank you!!
